GRAPHIC DESIGN

Graphic Design is an important aspect of my curriculum. Bringing together the use of Typography, color, composition and balance to create something that may be used for print, web based projects or motion graphics is something a lot of people struggle with, However, after getting used to software, one can easily create their own masterpieces.

Flower Poster {Student Work} This was created for the C. Fred Edwards Conservatory in Huntington WV. It is the only conservatory in West Virginia. I started by doodling various symbols for words related to the conservatory. Once I decided to use a popular archetype I decided on creating a butterfly-like shape to imply the childishness of the conservatory. They are also in the process of opening a butterfly habitat for the conservatory as well. I decided on the earthy tones to relate in a clean and soft sense of manner. Product Design Spread {Student Work} This was an advertisement spread I created for 'Grow'. Grow is a product I created myself, exotic seed packets with biodegradable hearts inside that hold the seeds, so that you won't loose your seeds. The photography, Logo, vectors and textures are all mine that I created myself.	Draft Mag Cover 2 {Student Work} This is one of two covers created for an advanced graphic design course in school. The Magazine 'Draft Magazine' is a design I came up with. Show casing artwork for artists of all types, however, the current example shown is architecture. Phoenix Logo I had to create a logo based on an Archetype. So I chose a Phoenix, symbolizing the rebirth or starting of a new process. I made several ideas for sketches and decided to do an inverted triangle for the rebirth of homosexuality, as they are starting to gain rights. Also, an inverted triangle represents femininity and water, which is a good contrast between the fire symbol of the phoenix.
